Innovation in the Midst of Global Economic Uncertainty
Opening the moment of celebration, Sapto Anggoro as the Board of Directors (BoD) of Nestech Group emphasized the importance of resilience and adaptive attitude in facing the current industry dynamics.
“In this time of the global economy that is not doing well, we must not be passive. We all must always innovate, keep up the spirit, and be quick to see opportunities. The 5th anniversary of Nestech Group does not mean that we only started yesterday afternoon, but we have built a strong foundation since 2009 until it finally transformed into a solid Group. This track record is our resilience and main capital to continue to move forward,” said Sapto Anggoro.
Weathering the Storm and Growing Together
The flashback of this business trip was also agreed by Ridho Marpaung as Vice President (VP) of Nestech Group. The group’s main business has been rooted for more than 17 years, starting from PT Binokular Media Utama to developing into several subsidiaries under the auspices of the Nestech Group since 2021.
Ridho Marpaung recalled one of the toughest challenges he ever faced, namely when the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020. In the midst of the uncertainty of the economic situation and sudden changes in work patterns, all levels of management and staff work hand in hand to maintain the quality of service to clients.
“The thing that makes me most proud is the dedication and hard work of the whole team. Whether it’s the teams in charge of the field, operations, analytics, to behind-the-scenes teams such as IT, security, and general, they all have a great sense of ownership and care. That dedication is what makes us survive and actually give birth to the Nestech Group entity in the midst of challenges,” said Ridho Marpaung.
In the future, Ridho Marpaung hopes that Nestech Group will not only expand its range of positive impact at the national level, but also be able to spread its wings to the international arena while continuing to improve the welfare of all its employees.
Technological Transformation and Inspiration for Struggle
The spirit of innovation and technological development in the Nestech Group was felt directly by Ari Sukamto, Person in Charge (PIC) of the Printing Division. Recalling the early days, newspaper and print media monitoring operations were carried out manually through physical cutting (cropping). Now, the work system has been completely transformed using technology-based engine automation that allows data processing quickly and in real-time.
The challenge of collecting and subscribing to e-paper data from Aceh to Papua is not easy. However, thanks to its commitment to maintaining data security, Nestech Group has now managed the most complete print media database from Sabang to Merauke.
In addition to technological advancements, Ari Sukamto’s own journey story is clear evidence of Nestech Group’s work climate that provides room for growth for anyone. Starting his career as an Office Boy (OB) in 2015, Ari Sukamto self-taught took advantage of his free time to learn to type quickly until he was finally trusted to hold a strategic role as the PIC of the Printing Division.
“The key is to focus on the process, dare to move, and maintain honesty. If we want to continue to learn and provide creative ideas, companies will definitely see and appreciate these efforts,” said Ari Sukamto.
